Starter motor mounting ring

Having just replaced the starter motor on my S4 Elan, I noticed that the mounting ring behind the motor is broken in two (not sure how this happened - the starter motor was securely mounted).
Paul Matty stocks a ring but which is integral to the rest of the gear box to engine interface. On my car, the starter motor ring is separate to this (presumably to facilitate easy replacement - avoiding engine removal).
Obviously I'd like to replace just the mounting ring. Are these still available? Advice would be appreciated.

Are you talking about the thin plate between the bellhousing and block(comes in two pieces, upper and lower) if so there is/was one on EBAY recently.

Or if you have a hacksaw your one piece one can be modified.....

I think that this is a weak spot as it's not supposed to be like that, but a spot of weld and a quick grind and should be as good as new
