Engine tuning/upgrades

Hi all. I recently aquired a 1969 plus 2. It is the standard S engine.

What would be the most cost effective upgrades for the engine to get a bit more power out of it? I want more mid range torque mainly. My engine runs ok but the car just seems to lack omph. Would a rolling road tune up make any noticable difference?

Have your cams re profiled to QED 360 and fit a better exhaust system and headers. You will need to re jet the carbs to suit and electronic ignition might be a good idea.
