engine back plate fowling on Slave cylinder

Hi John,
The tab on the plate stops the slave cylinder rotating so it does touch but you should not need to bend it to get the cylinder in. If I recall correctly the plate is a snug fit on the dowels which locate the bellhousing on the engine so it should not be possible to misalign it - perhaps a dowel is missing ?

Hi. Replaced mine recently and had to take a file to the back of the slave, it would not quite fit as you found out. Just a few passes with a file did the trick - bad casting I assumed.
