Does anyone know where to buy new big end bolts for 125e rods? or what grade of bolts are used? cheers, John.

Check out QED, they will be able to supply quality bolts

ARP is a bolt manufacturer recommended by many; they can provide engine specific bolts.

The bolt quality will be at least 10.9 but that is only part of the story.

Hi John

I've seen it written somewhere that normal high tensile cap screws are accecptable provided thay are torqued up correctly. Unfortunatly I can find that reference at the moment. Otherwise try Burtons

That's not a very good idea.
Correct big end bolts have a waisted shank so that the required amount of stretch combined with the correct torque can be achieved.
The waisted bolts provide the required clamping force without making that joint too "hard" the resulting elasticity helps to ensure that the required clamping force is present under varying engine operating conditions & that the bolts won't loosen.

Cheers
