Low Oil Pressure?

My Elan +2/130 has a fully rebuilt engine (by QED). The engine was rebuilt 15 months ago. Ever since the rebuild the car has registered just 25- 30psi at 3,000 revs. At tick over to 1,500 revs it holds on 10psi for a while and then goes off the scale to 0psi.
As with any +2 it uses a small amount of oil over many miles but nothing alarming. It runs very well and sounds sweet.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this? -
(I understand I should be typically looking at 35-40psi at 3,000 revs and 10psi on tick over)

Best thing to do is get a small pressure guage and fit it temp. in place of the sender, this should give you an accurate reading,if this is O.K. then i'd look to the sender/guage/voltage stabiliser

My thoughts are: be careful, if your gauge is right, bearing damage is possible. I wouldn't drive it until, as mentioned, you attach another gauge and let us know what it shows. Let the engine warm up and if it drops to zero again, don't rev it.

Thank you. I'll get it checked - its been a daily driver car since July 2004 so I'm concerned about damage
