Oil Filler Cap

Any cures for a leaking oil filler cap?

New seals are available in the usual places, or I beleive that you can convert to a screw cap?
Whether this works I don't know but I always try to dry the seal and the cam cover before putting the cap back on and it doesn't seem to leak

I have one like this which came from JAE. Mine also included an insert that fits in the neck of the cam cover and includes an O-ring. No more leaks!

There are a couple of things you can try, as the cam throws the oil against the oil cap you can fit a deflector plate which I think some of the suppliers sell although I made my own (see pic)
You can try fitting a new seal (also available from some suppliers) or even adding another thin seal under the existing one.
To test it for leaks you can take off the cam cover and from the inside run some thin oil into the cap, you will soon see if it is going to leak, while the cam cover is off and looking from the underside, check that the cap it is sitting on the rim of the cam cover evenly.
I have had some caps that the two tags did not engage with the pins evenly and so did not sit tightly on the rim.
