3 original factory profiles ( "B" no groove- standard, "C" 1 groove - S/E and "D" 2 grooves - Sprint)and lots and lots of after market "performance" profiles. You need to know what the cams you are being offered are and whether they suit your application before you use them
The actual cams themselves were all the same in terms of fitting in the bearings in the head and fitting the sprockets on the end. However if the cams have been reground the base circles may not be standard which may or may not give you issues setting up the shims. Cam bearing journals also should be checked to ensure withing tolerance. If going with a high lift profile you should also tap the cams for the long sprocket bolt modification to avoid the cam breaking at the first bearing oil hole.
