Seems as if we can all have our own dyno at home, as long as we've got a Colortune!

Interesting article from a historic perspective. However modern technology has moved on a bit. You can now use a wide band lambda sensor with a logging terminal to do the same.

I have used one of excellent little devices to great effect in setting up the carbs on my S4. The engine now runs between 12.8 and 13.8 AFR under various conditions.
