The deck height of the 1500 block (crank centerline to block face) is 7.78 inches there is a bit of a register for the main caps so add an .125 for that for a total block height. The heads are 4.64 inches and sprints are 4.6 inches. An early valve cover will add some to that figure, 7.375 for the head and valve cover. A total height of block, head, and cam cover will be approximately 15.2 inches with gaskets from the centerline of the crankshft to the top of an early valve cover. With the stock oil sump count on 22.5 inches plus or minus a bit...
