TwinCam oil pressure

Finally got the renovated engine running smoothly, without trace from neither oil nor water leak
Everything worked just fine, until I checked the oil pressure, it red far above the scale...
So I guessed I had done something wrong connecting the cable - and removed it from the oil pressure sender unit. Still the pressure red far above the scale.
At this time my mind completely stopped working, and my hands just did stupid things on their own...
When comparing the color code on the cable going into the oil pressure instrument (white with red (brown?) line) with the cable going to the oil pressure sender unit (bright red), I realized something was wrong.
Though; a white cable with red (brown?) line was found on the coil (remember; my mind had stopped working at this stage ). So, without thinking, my hands just swapped the two cables - and I ignited the car.
It didn't start - obviously, as the lead-power no longer went to the coil but the oil pressure sender unit.
Instead, a beautiful white smoke arose from the distributor, due to 12V put directly into it... I turned off the ignition immediately - but damage was already done.
Condenser and point-breaker burnt , and no-one but the brainless myself to blame...
New parts have been ordered, hopefully they'll arrive tomorrow or Wednesday.
But;
in order to get the oil pressure right; can anyone please tell me how this should be correct connected?
Guess some DPO has made his own arrangement, and replaced the correct cable with the red one.
Is there a cabling scheme somewhere, telling me where the cables goes - and what color code they should have?
Or; if anyone can explain this to me, and post a picture of their oil pressure sender unit cable as well....
Meanwhile; I'm going home to eat some "makes your brain works better"-pills......

Hi B-A,
I tried posting the wiring diagram, but the file is too big.
The ignition supply (white) goes to one side of the oil pressure gauge, and then continues on to the notorious anti-theft switch, then (white/yellow) on to the tachometer and coil.
A white with brown trace goes from the other side of the OP gauge to the sender unit.
I have fitted a mechanical OP gauge and a low OP warning sender on a T. The sender cable now goes to a red OP warning light on the dash. I've experienced low oil pressure a few times in my career, and the warning lamp is the only sure indication. The mechanical gauge gives a lot more direct information.

Thanks Sean.
There are obviously some cables missing on my car - I haven't removed any of them, but I only have one suitabke cable for the OP; the red one..
Do you mind emailing the diagram to me?
Guess you still have my address ?
Thanx .-)

Short update:
New condenser and point breaker is hopefully in the post.
Meanwhile; I disconnected one of the carbs, to get better access to the distributor.
As seen in the photo (hmm, it may not show to clearly, though), all cables and plastic parts are melted.. It's not possible to adjust the pointer gap; it's meltet in an wide open position...
Anyone know the correct dwell angel / point gap ?
