If you get the book, please let me know! 3 months ago I ordered this book from a big online book shop (forgot the name) in the USA and paid with paypal. Weeks later I received the message the book was sold out and won?t be reprinted. At least they sent the money back.

Since then, the prices on ebay went up steadily.

Saw the same thing a couple of years ago when the book went out of print..
Worth contacting the publishers which I think are motorbooks..

Hi Guys,

Got my copy at the end of last year (?27 plus p&P) and another Wilkins book from Bruce Brammer in Germany.

Very fast efficient service.

His website is:

http://www.lotus-books.com/

He only accepts cheque/postal orders or wire transfer.

I did wire transfer with and all went well, recevied books a few days after putting the transfer through.

Best of luck,

I found the link, it is here:

http://bookshop.blackwell.co.uk/jsp/id/Lotus_Twin_cam_Engine_Bk_M2692/9780760316924

It says that the book is usually despatched within 3 to 9 days, and that it is not in stock in their own stores:

Usually despatched within 3 to 9 days
This item is in print but currently not in stock. We will order this from the publisher for you. As different publishers have different delivery times it is difficult to say how long the book will take; average despatch time for a book ordered from a US publisher is within 3 to 4 weeks. If the book is coming from abroad or the publishers are temporarily out of stock of the title this timespan may be longer, and we will aim to inform you as soon as we know that this is the situation.

Jono, can you please update us on the availability of the book? Thanks, Bart Jan

Bart Jan,

I will let everyone know when I receive it by posting here. Only ordered a few days ago and my order has been confirmed so I am guessing the earliest I might actually have the book will be next week.

Cheers.

The paperback version is in print (recently reprinted), the hardcover is not. Some booksellers may not be aware of this, or it may be a different ISBN.

If you have your heart set on hardcover, then you have to be willing to pay market for a used one. You're right about silly money considering it's the same book, but what the market will bear is what any sensible seller would be expecting to get.

Priced a signature steering wheel lately?
