Polishing up the ribs and logo on the valve cover?

Have heard sandpaper on a block with some thin oil followed by some Autosol is a good idea here (what grade paper?), any other ideas ??

Depends on how much corosion you have, I would use wet and dry (Wet) 400, 600 then 800 after you have all of the blemishes out polish with Autosol, probably for best results strip the cover first and re-paint once you have the fins all nice and shiny. Autosol will leave the area between the fins white and powedery otherwise, a bit tedious but well wworth the effort once completed.
