Article on converting Twin Cam to electronic management

PostPost by: hatman » Thu Aug 02, 2007 9:36 am

Anyone interested in converting to full electronic, or even just wanting to gain a detailed understanding of twincam fuelling requirements should seek out a copy of the current Club Lotus News. There's an excellent, well-written piece on the conversion that he carried out on his own car by a gent called Victor Hollnagel. Club Lotus are also offering copies of the full article to include photos and diagrams. Even I understood it - and I'm thick (when it comes to electronickery, anyway).

Seen it, read it, and understood it
Have to agree, it is a very useful piece.

Also being published in the Lotus Driver's Club magazine.

I'm happy with the Dellorto's on my Sprint at the moment, but I've got a race tuned Ford Crossflow in one of my other cars that might be a bit better mannered with mapped ignition & injection!

I have heard (or read) that keeping the carbs but adding fully mapped ignition will give many of the benifits whilst retaining the sights and sounds of those wonderfull itialian instruments.
