.015 Piston rings

Can anyone help me. I am rebuilding an engine and just about everything you can imagine has been bought and done. However I have made a boo boo. It had really good plus 15 pistons. When I checked the rings I just checked the top two which were about 13 thou gap each.
However tonight I was happliy building away, got the crank in, and then was going for the pistons when I though I would just check the oil rings in the bore. I find the oil control rings have massive gaps. 40 to 50 odd thou. I can beleive it. I bought this engine to build for a track day car. The bores are good and have been checked & honed by a good engine guy.
Has anybody got a set of plus +.015 rings that I could buy. If I must I would buy the piston too if anybody has a set. I am told this size was Lotus only. I could try them on Monday but somehow doubt them being available.
The pistons I have show no sign of a manufacturer that I can tell. On top they have + .015 ID1
Inside I can see numbers M815 M413 and what looks like AM413.
The A could be reversed P. Maybe powermax symbol. They have large valve cut outs like the graded A type. The top ring looks plain and parallel. The second ring has a step.
I have a week off too. What a bummer.
Thanks Mike

Hello
Try Steve at Elan Factory Melbourne, he recently tracked doem some .020" Powermax rings for me. They have a website.
Sorry to hijack your post, but my dilemma is that I need one standard camshaft for the motor I'm rebuilding. On stripping it I found the inlet camshaft was some exotic high lift beast with thick top hat shims that makes the valve springs bind. It has KCL14 and H35 stamped on the (no groove) flange. Any clues?
Anyway if anyone has a surplus to needs standard(ish) camshaft I'd be happy to purchase it for a fair price
Thanks
Robert

Think I am sorted with rings. Roy at Paul Matty. Alway very helpful guys. I am shocked, I thought I was going to struggle from what QED said.
thanks Mike.
Rob,
I will look out for some cams. What is the other, how many rings does it have? What type do you need to match your existing one. Standard'ish is a bit vague.
From memory:
no grove - standard B type
one groove -SE or C type
two grooves - Super SE or D type for sprint.
Mike

Hi
No groove, ie B type.
I don't know the history of this motor .
Offending camshaft has very small base circle, necessitating thick shims and very pointy lobe. with .400" lift, ie springs bind at full lift. A real dog's breakfast. Other (good) cam has meatier lobes and .350 lift. I'd like to match that one.
I look forward to hearing from....someone, so another TC can be recommissioned!
Thanks
