Thermostat housing filler

PostPost by: sulzeruk » Mon Feb 26, 2007 6:06 pm

Hi all, just wondering where I can get a thermostat housing that has the filler in it as I can't seem to get the top hose full at all.
Driving me insane and I don't want to cook the motor (again!)
Passed its MOT today and then the front brakes started to seize so it looks like a full brake strip before I can enjoy it!

You can get them from Burton Power, but they have issues with the direction of the pipe fitting.

Sorry the brakes seized, but surely a pleasant bonus to get it through the MOT first?

Regards,
Stuart.

Hi all, thanks for the speedy response! Had a quick look and discovered that the small release hole in the brake masterclyinder was gummed up and blocked! Have a list of parts to order tomorrow, new disks and pads all round, Goodridge brake hoses, caliper rebuild kits, etc! Had my first real look underneath at the MOT station and was pleasntly surprised how clean it was under there. Had nice drips from the diff and gearbox underneath which will need to be addressed! The rear donuts are absolutely scrap after sitting for so long, roll on the CV conversion!

The link above to the thermostat picture is a bit old and just shows a prototype housing.
For the finished item check my website below and some pictures of one fitted to my Elan

You don't need to resurrect old threads with adverts Steve.
