Oil leak after engine wash

PostPost by: b-havers » Mon Aug 07, 2006 5:29 am

Hi all,
gave the twink a thorough wash yesterday, and finished the work by flushing the engine with the garden hose.

When strting the engine afterwards, to run it hot and make it dry out, I noticed a regular oildripp under the engine. A new drop every 3-4 sec....
Haven't had time yet to check it out, but the oil was following the clutch hose frome somewhere on the rear part of the engine.

Has anyone experienced this, and can give me a clue what to look for?

Have done a bit checking; the leak is from the bottom end seal. In other words; no danger - I just have to check the oil level and top up when neccessary ;-)

I'll try to fit a new gasket later this summer, when the car is off road for right hand sill swap...
