After the two year rebuild I had a steady season in 2005 - just getting my eye in after a 30 year sebatical !

This year I've had 4 outings - 3 class wins and a third

Come and see the latest news and pictures at www.brmlotuselan.com

That's a great site, Dennis, and you have one of my all time favorite Elans. In fact, the car that got me into Elan ownership 30 years ago. I was quite happy with my Lotus Cortina, until a guy moved in up the road in Bristol with his polychromatic green and blaze orange machine...it was lust at first sight....and sound! I went out in that car a few times and was staggered at the performance and sound of the straight through exhaust and open Webers, although the owner suggested that it wasn't highly tuned, maybe another 15 or 20 bhp over the standard Elan. Made my Lotus Cortina seem very tame, that's for sure.
It was just parked on the street, never locked! I hunted for one for a while, but didn't find one of course, and bought my S3 fhc instead, which I've often thought of painting the correct colour. I still have the car, and have the BRM cam cover ready!

Do you have a potted history of the BRM Elans that you could write out? How many were made, what was the spec, how many are left etc. And some photos of the original cars? It's a very interesting bit of Elan history.
