Has my +2 become a VW Beetle (oil leak at the rear)?

PostPost by: tdafforn » Mon May 29, 2006 8:19 pm

Came back from a run with the kids in the +2.
Parked the car up and took out the shopping..
Returned to lock the car and noticed a large puddle of oil under the boot!
First thought, knackered diff..
Then realised it was in the wrong place..
Greatly releived if a VERY annoyed that the (new) oil can in the boot had come undone and spilt a gallon of 20W50 into the boot!!
Eugghh!

So Tim,where exactly is your diff if its not under the boot??
and just consider the oil spillage as a rust prevention measure

The leak was too far back to be the diff!!
The anti corrosion benefits weren't wasted on me :-)
The battery clamp will never corrode now
Cheers
