Which Flywheel

I note in the Lotus Elan Parts List that there is a dowel specified for the crankshaft. It is listed as Part No. B-6387-A in Section EB, however it is only specified for engines up to LP7799. The dowel does not however appear on the parts diagram (my page date code for the parts is shown as 07/70 and for the diagram E2), was there a later diagram?
Is that the change point between the four and six bolt cranks, perhaps someone with access to the engine number list can confirm. I have a four bolt flywheel that has the dowel hole, but did all the superceding six bolt flywheels also have a dowel hole?

I cannot definitively answer your question, but replacement 6 bolt steel crankshafts and flywheels from QED have a dowel, and I see the engine that Miles Wilkins assembled in his book with a 6 bolt crank, also has a dowel (page 132)
