Yes, I’m pretty happy with this. Once it’s welded up and fitted I think I’ll send photos to SJSportscars suggesting they review this with their supplier, will probably tell them that any responses or indeed no response will be shared on this forum.

When you do, mention fwiw, they're not alone supplying the wrong stuff, as I believe PM still supply the same incorrect centre pipe and transverse box like SJS.

see:

I suspect their response will be "no ones ever complained before"

Mine was exactly the same, modified the centre pipe by cutting and rewelding to end up with a similar alignment as your final picture. While I was at it I fitted a heat shield inside the silencer recess as the fibreglass was showing signs of heat damage.

Got mine nicely welded up yesterday, even had to tweak the left to right angle of the tailpipe slightly. Today I make the heatshield similar to yours that looks very neat.

The dimpled aluminium sheet is quite easy to work with, the edges fold over nicely to make a neat edge. It’s all down to the thin card template as a pattern, get that right and you’re almost home! Not a lot of clearance in there but I’m sure you are well aware of that!!
