Cooling - best way?

vince, you may find it doesn't get hot enough to open the cap (like mine) there doesn't make much difference. Yep i agree, not sure why but a quality alloy rad always some how look right plus since work bought a new Tig i have a new found respect for good looking Alloy welds

Actually that is another problem.
The temp gauge hardly moves. I've earthed the lead and it swings to max so the gauge seems OK. A temperature probe shows 66 degrees! Surely it is getting hotter than that?
Funny thing is, although the 'stat is 75 degrees, the whole system is warm all over.
