SHIMS (again)
Cylinder____Inlet_________Exhaust
1._________0.149"_______0.206"
2._________0.148"_______0.207"
3._________0.146"_______0.195"
4._________0.146"_______0.197"

Valve clearance check:
Cylinder____Inlet_________Exhaust
1._________0.005"_______0.009"
2._________0.006"_______0.010"
3._________0.005"_______0.010"
4._________0.006"_______0.010"

And this engine remains running perfectly...[/sounds good have built 2/3 tuned pre-crossflows, one 1600 1/2 race xflow -but the TC rules! higgy quote]

Saw the prob longer valves stems 70thou on the inlets compensate for the cam reprofile (metal removed from the heels)
many thanks to all higgyuK

buckets are STD 210 thou
inlet cam profile or should i say re-profiling has ground away the heels nearly to the shaft-requiring a lot more shim-could have been LONG stem inlet valves in the other head or the valve seats were cut deeper.
i still have to check the timing of this cam to make sure its the 35/85 i.e the INLET!the EX 79/41 seems to have not to have been ground as much --were getting there. higgy

deceided.
that swapping the VJ5`s into an apparantly ported and gasflowed head and re-conditioned block----might be less gain than the original vegantune engine re-simmed, re-gead gasketed and re timing chained see flowspeed
