with a comp set up - solid rack mounts and suspension bushings - 0 to 1/8 toe OUT is fast with great turn in. Yes, It's twichy.
As they say, results may vary, but it is a common race set up in many cars. Don't argue with me, argue with the stop watch.

I still feel quite sick at an opportunity that came my way with my former Mk 11 Mini Cooper S - back in 1976 I bought a tired Cooper S and carried out a nut and bolt rebuild, engine, body etc it cost me a small fortune - about 3 years later I was dead set on buying a 3.8 E type jag and regretfully sold my S to help with the finance.
We fast forward to 1993 when I received a letter from Hants CC to the effect that unless I removed my Cooper S from a given address within two weeks it would be sent to the scrap yard!
Clearly the car had never been registered by the owner and so it was officially still mine - I decided to travel down and take a look - I found it on a council estate in the back garden of an empty bungalow.
It was clearly worse for wear and hardly covered any miles since selling. Unfortunately I had no way of extracating and no where to house and no workshop so sadly came away leaving it to its crushing fate.
To this day I kick myself for not being more creative/proactive in taking this on - what a story to have found and given the opportunity to reclaim this car for nothing!
I must stop thinking about self abuse...
How the values have risen - I visited Goodwood revival in 2002 and there was a totally rebuilt 1071 s for sale at 11,000 which attracted me but the size of the car now scared me -this car would be mid 20's now...
How I hate the phrase 'live and learn' now I just think what a plonker!
