If you mean the cups for the O rings I think he made them himself, so not a commercial product:
prezoom wrote: I then machined up some cups out of 1/2" aluminum rod, which were bored deep enough to contain the "O" ring, but leave about 1/4 to 1/3" of the ring proud of the cup. I used a 3/8" end mill to counter bore the aluminum rod to the correct depth.

Yes, I made them up as the ones that were on the engine when I purchased the car were beyond their sealing life. They have been on the engine since 2006, and are still doing the job, no leaks whatsoever.

Because I had some short pieces of aluminum round stock, and Real Seal, a large "O" ring supplier is just a couple of miles from my house and stock just about every sort of O ring in any sort of material and are willing to sell in any quantity. I made up a set for Gary when the subject came up, and sent them to him for him to try. Unfortunately, he had had enough and bailed from this forum. Major loss for this forum.

joe7 wrote:Why not just use a "Stat-O-Seal Sealing Washer" with a flat washer on top. Pegasus in the US has these in various sizes. I use one on my oil pan drain bolt without a washer and never had a leak. That is torqued to 28 ft/lb and they are reusable.
As well as Stat-O-Seals these are good too. They also can seal around stud threads preventing leakage between threads.

Thanks for the other recommendations. Looks like I missed Robs post where he explains how he made them
I had some major problems figuring out how these things are called in German. Just in case someone is ever wondering about the same, they are called a "Usit-Ring".
