re QED Not rebuilding Twincs.
Their advert on page 32 of the latest Club Lotus Magazine (arrived yesterday) states "Lotus Ford Twincam", "Engine Workshop". So will they, or won't they ?
BTW, Miles recently rebuilt my head due to valve-seat regression. In spite of me using Castrol Valvemaster (with the Octane Boost) religously for the last 5-6 years.....I thought I was protected, but......

I do use it now, by the way. Let's face it, it's easy to be wise after the event. When leaded was removed from sale all those years ago, there was no really reliable & independant recommendation as to which product to use, especially for an engine that could be revved like the twinc. For me, it was going to be either Valvemaster or Millers. Both had good write-ups from the classic press. The only reason I went the castrol route, was, quite simply, it required a smaller dose so you didn't need to carry bottles & bottles of the stuff for long journeys. It also wasn't available other the counter in BP garages & Halfords, like the Castrol product.
This is also ancient history though. I guess more relevance is how many other people are continuing to use a synthetic based product & have you had your valve-seats checked lately ?
