exhaust manifold gaskets

Working on my sprint and 2 exhaust manifold gaskets had been leaking.
I've just checked with a friend who works on VW 1600 and i compare the exhaust gaskets with elan gaskets. They look like they will fit and a much better quality. At "Mecatechnic". Plus no customs charges for people here in France.
I've ajusted the exhaust manifold flanges so they are inline.
I will see when i replace the engine and gearbox in the sprint and start the engine.

Alan,
I haven’t tried the VW gaskets, but I have fitted the gaskets from the usual sources, fitting them with high temperature RTV. A bit messy but works well giving a leak free seal.

Thanks,
When i fit the VW Gaskets i'll butter them up with some high temp rtv also.
It'll be a while because i'm giving my gearbox a bearing refresh also.
