Not sure if it has been posted here or not.
I thought so, though I can't find it.

Here in the USA, Jay Ivey - www.Iveyengines.com keeps them in stock. If you send him your pistons or buy pistons from him, he will fit them to your new block and finish hone before shipment.
Jay is a first class engine builder particularly for Ford Kent based engines including our Twincams.

Thanks
I seem to recall wherever the article came from, that Ford had retooled recently to make the block stronger.
Probably doesn't matter, unless someone is considering a build. And has the choice now to spend another $2k

Time flies when you are having fun racing but my comments in the last couple of posts on that original thread still apply. The new blocks are very nice blocks but not big step forward so dont expect to go beyond what most original blocks could do. Just a good implementation of the original blocks that make it easier to build a new engine ( at a cost) rather than dealing with all the potential issues in a 50 year old block.

I think it is great that Ford are remanufacturing these blocks.
As Rohan suggests there is a point at which 50 year old blocks fail...in the case of 55 year old MGB blocks (which are generally indestructible) these are now being to disintegrate in race use (typically a 1840 cc race MGB engine will produce 160 bhp).
