Early Twin Cam in Mk2 Cortina Lotus

Have purchased a June 1967 Mk2 Cortina Lotus unfinished project which has been in storage for 40 years. With it has come a "Mk1" Twin Cam which surprised me, as I believe all Mk2s were fitted with the " Mk2" 6-bolt neoprene seal crank variety. I would expect to find a 2731E L block in this car.
This motor has "LP1363" stamped on upper right side of the block, and usual casting ident at left rear ground away completely with 4-bolt crank fitted and rope seal set-up.
Cyl. head numbers are LF 8384 and C225.
I suspect the head is not a match with the block. I read somewhere a long time ago that early Mk2 Cortina Lotuses had "Mk1" motors fitted, but I believe these may have only been development cars as the 2731E block was already in use with Ford when the first production MK2 Cortina Lotuses became available in March '67.
Could anyone age either the head or the block for me please?
If it is not an original unit I will replace it with a Mk2 motor or carry out a Mk2 conversion on this example.

LP 1363 was originally in an Elan from April 64, so definitely not the cars original short engine.
LF 8384 is from a Lotus Cortina, and from the first half of 1967, so that could well be the original head for the car.
A June '67 Lotus Cortina would probably have had a 681F block originally.
June is quite an early car and pretty desirable today. Have you checked out what originality looks like for an early Mk2 on my website? This one sold a couple of years ago for a tad over £50k, so worth getting it right!

Thankyou guys, your interest and help appreciated. Was under the impression that 681F/M, 691F/M, 701F/M blocks originated in 1968, 69, 70 respectively, with 2730E and 2731E blocks preceding these. Will revisit your site Mark, Cheers !

2730E was the block used in 1300cc Pre-crossflow ‘67 Cortinas. Lip seal but lower deck height than the 1500 block used for the LTC.
