Searching for sensor adaptors

PostPost by: Vali » Wed Feb 03, 2021 6:21 pm

Hello Guys,

I´m looking for thread adaptors for my Elan GTS project.
I want to fit Stack Classic Electric gauges into the car where the senders have a 1/8"-NPT thread.

I am just not able to find any adaptor for the Water temperature to fit it into the Thermostat housing.
So I´m looking for an adaptor with 3/8" BSP (or BSPT?) to 1/8" NPT ... can it be sourced anywhere (not only in China ...)?

Or is it something where I have to make it on my own like buying a 3/8" BSP plug and drill a 1/8" NPT thread into?

Many of the Ali radiators (TTR for instance) will have a threaded sensor hole. Just plug the thermostat housing

Thanks Graeme.
Just found at competitionsupplies.com an 3/8 BSP to 1/8 NPT adaptor.
But still will think about your solution in the radiator.
Which means I would have to switch on the fan manually if needed.
Decisions ... decisions ... but will see and decide when the engine is fitted.

Thank you. :)

My fan is controlled by a stack pro controller.......but the fan is removable and would be off the car for most tracks

Graeme,

That could be the tidiest engine bay I have ever seen. Congratulations on a first class job.

One question - the car is right hand drive? So the hydraulic lines run behind the dash from the reservoirs to the master cylinders?

Thanks,

Andy.
