Cylinder head bent causing cam bearing wear

I am told by my engineer that the camshaft wear on my Europa twin cam is caused by a bent cylinder head. I believe that oversized cam bearings are not available. Is it a satisfactory solution to close the caps and line bore the tunnel, similar to the situation if the main bearings were misaligned?

Hi Alan
Yes perfectly possible to line bore the cam tunnels like you can a block by machining a little off the caps and then re-boring taking an absolute minimum off the head.
If the head has not been re-machined flat in the bent state it may be possible to straighten the head to realign the cam bores.
