PostPost by: LCRJ » Fri Dec 25, 2015 3:04 pm

Hi all,
A racing(small 3inch) crankshaft pulley will work for fast road use car?
Or Do you recommend standard(4 inch) crankshaft pulley to fast road use car?
Please let me know your tips. Speak to you soon.
Kind regards,

I ran a small pulley on my steel cranked X/flow, as I never went over 6500 rev/min the reason for small crank pulley, (water pump cavitation at high revs} was not relevant.

The low output from my charging system was annoying so I put the old pulley back on.

Hi Jon,
Thank you for the information.
I thought use a small(3inch) crankshaft pulley will have moved the resonance up and reduced deflection at resonance. But from your experienced, It's just one inch differ will be big difference. I will stick on my standard 4 inch pulley for my fast road car.
Kind regards,
