Oil pressure switch

Hi everyone
I'm readying myself for engine/box removal, I'm having trouble removing with the oil pressure switch. I assume it's the larger nut which needs to be undone, seems to be an odd size, 15mm fits the best but can't get a turn on it due to inlets getting in the way. Any tips or suggestions appreciated.
Kev.

Yes hold the adapter that screws into the block with one spanner and undo the compression nut with another. The compression nut is a pipe thread size so not standard. short spanners help !! pull off the radiator and dizzy and carbs to get the room if you need it.

Hi Kev,
I just open the tap and catch most of the coolant in a plastic tray on a piece of cardboard.
The cardboard gets the rest. Then pour it into a clear container and if it is clean enough, put it back in later, topped up with fresh. Any dirt will have settled in the bottle and can be avoided.
Be careful with Ethylene Glycol.
If you spill some outside, its sweetness is very attractive to cats but is fatal if they drink it.

Thanks,
I'll give it a go, carbs already off, rad will be next. Is it possible to collect all the coolant via rad plug + hose as aposed to chucking it all over the garage floor? I could just push the car outside if a problem.
Kev
I usually put a big deep tray and bucket to catch most of the coolant.
One of those under-bed storage boxes are sometimes shallow enough to go under the car.

Don't risk damaging the nut with a wrong size open spanner. Carefully file out a smaller spanner, maybe a 14mm, I have never found a use for that size anyway.
Then grind off the size from the side of the spanner.
Good luck

At last!! Modified spanner + patience. Thanks everyone. Next the fuel pump, seems to be continuas flow of petrol, possibly siphoning from tank (guess). If I pull off pipe + catch as much as I can from pump and plug /clamp line? Not sure what with. Not much room.
