repair of cracked block - advice needed

Hi all,
I am rebuilding an engine for a friend and I?m looking for advice on the options of what to do about a cracked block. As the pic shows there are two small cracks between the water way and the bore on two adjacent cylinders (3 & 4). The engine did run OK last time it was used without any signs of leakage. The bores are linered (thin wall liner) and whist this may be preventing it leaking, it might complicate any repair.
Does anyone know of a method of repair for such damage? Obviously other options range from doing nothing to buying a new block.

The cracks probably run down the bores behind the liner. The liners themselves are liable to crack next in the near future if you do nothing due to lack of support behind them in the area of the crack in the backing metal. Putting liners in the Ford block needs careful measurement and thought to ensure you get sufficient backing metal remaining in bores before the liners are inserted. Often this is not possible to achieve and the block should not have liners fitted at least for the Lotus bore 82.5 or larger bore.
While anything can be repaired with enough money I don't think its economic to fix versus finding a second hand block.

Yes it's +40 bore so there will be very little behind the liners.
Hunt for another block time then.
