cooling system bleeder valve

PostPost by: rdssdi » Sat Nov 16, 2013 6:12 pm

I have been concerned with completely removing air from my cooling system. I was having trouble with the larger custom alloy radiator installed in my +2. I discovered a leak in one of the end tubes. Not easily nor effectively repaired. I chose to install the original radiator which I had recored when I began the restoration but never used.

I purchased a new thermostat housing and had a threaded (10 x 1 mm) bung added and installed a bleeder. I have not ran the car nor purged the system yet but will tomorrow.
