Experience of suppliers - SJ Sportscars

PostPost by: bloodknock » Fri Jun 21, 2013 7:39 am

Has anyone any experience in dealing with SJ Sports cars, of Crediton, Devon. What is their product quality like? Do they keep genuine parts? Whats their customer service like?

as for customer service.....erm never really had any dealings or issues...
just ring up, order, give them the card number, they post it and I collect and fit....

Steve is a gentleman and will help with advice where ever possible. His parts are always either geniune or things that work.
2nd to Susan Miller in my opinion and thats just becasue I have used her for longer!

He's a top bloke - I needed about 4 water pump seals (not the complete kit just the seal itself) and he sourced me some without having to buy the whole water pump rebuild kit. Will definitely use him again!

He really helped me a lot by supplying me a complete new rear upright and fitting for me the outputshaft in it with all new bearing bits and boots and shipping it back to me in france....

(he had to remove for me my output shaft from the old rear upright which had become not usable)

So very helpful!

I have e-mailed Steve to see if he had parts in stock & he responded very quickly. I ordered parts & they were shipped straight away to the States with reasonable shipping costs.

I believe that he is an official Lotus distributor selling factory parts, I have seen a few parts where he specifically says not a factory part, so he is a very honest guy.

I would highly recommend SJ Sportscars for bits!

Used SJ Sportscars in the past and will again in the future.

Excellent service and product.

Sue Miller is still my 'first on list' supplier though :)

I have been using them for years. I used them before the website but love the website; its so much easier to see a photo of the item before you order.

One of my fav parts suppliers.

I have used SJ Sportscars a few times for parts. I live in New Zealand, so probably the greatest distance for parts to travel from the UK. I ordered parts on line, paid via credit card and the parts were on my doorstep within a working week. I ordered on a Monday, they were there for me on Friday to fit to the car over the weekend. In addition, the postage costs were very reasonable compared with other suppliers that I have used, and the parts were exactly as described. Not having the luxury of living in the UK with suppliers almost on the doorstep, I would use SJ sportscars as a fisrt choice as I can do all the ordering online and get an accurate estimate of shipping straight away.

Highly recommend.
