Vacuum leaks repair tip

On the 2 elans I have owned I found the main source of vacuum leaks originated inside the front of the shock absorber towers at the bottom where dirt and mud accumulates. If this is the case I have found a product that has worked well and has proven to be a good fix. See link. I had the chassis sandblasted and powder coated and missed some pretty bad leaks at this inside the towers. I removed the shocks and used only the white cream epoxy supplied in this kit. It is very thick and I spread it with a long handled brush. My car is a non-fail safe system and needs the vacuum to raise the lamps. Even with the car sitting for 24hrs and without starting the engine, the headlight will still operate.
Ensure you keep the drain holes are clear. Also you may need to use some of the surface preparations supplied with the kit before applying the cream.
