QED 420 cam timing

PostPost by: john.p.clegg » Thu Sep 27, 2012 7:07 pm

Dear All

Due to re-time the top end this winter, fitted with QED 420 cams,I think the standard timing is inlet 105 ATDC and the exhaust 110 BTDC but seem to remember a slight adjustment of a few degrees for increased torque or top end power...as I am interested in a little more torque...can anyone assist....inlet or exhaust...advance or retard....torque or power....

QED?

Thanks
John

John, the numbers I got from QED for the Q420 camshafts are
Inlet fully open 100 deg ATDC
Exhaust fully open 106 deg BTDC
and are supposed to produce on a 1700cc motor
145 to 150 bhp
120ft/lb torque @ 5500rpm
