I'm starting to build up my plus 2's engine and I've a standard 6 bolt crank and standard '69 block - aiming for a standard engine using nos Lotus / Hepolite pistons. Does any one know if I can use 2737E Con rods on such a build or do I need the 'standard' 125E rods - basically are the 125E and 2737 rods interchangable?
Many thanks in advance

The Ford 2737 connecting rod are 4.928 in long center to center, the Lotus 125E rod are 4.8 inch center to center so the answer is no. If you had som custom piston that had a lower pin height of say 1.402 then they could be used.

Is there any benefit in the twin cam for longer rods, custom/shorter pistons.
