Does anyone know the proper direction/orientation for 2737E connecting rods in the engine block? The motor uses a cut down 711m block, 1700cc.
Can they be installed the wrong direction?.
Thanks
James

Hi James,
Yes the rod can be installed the wrong way round but the 2737 has ?FRONT? cast into it....well all the ones I have seen have.

Thanks, That looks clear enough. I will have to stop by the engine builder and look at the rods. They are lightened and polished, but still they should have the casting visable.

James,
I just dug another one out of the garage and this set has the number but only has an ?F? and not the full word FRONT.
In case yours it has been polished off on your rods you can work it out from this pic......it shows the oil hole and the F
