OK, so I just came in from 3 hours of fiberglass grinding, 4 hours yesterday. I am looking for a thread that was quite long showing engine bays of various cars...........I have been searching for about 30 minutes, I am tired and ichy, and they are all starting to look that same. Can someone please help??

Aw, nuts! Beat me to it. Oh well, credit for trying.
Mike:
You "tired and itchy" comment tugged at my heartstrings.
Is it this one?

I searched for "gary elan engine bay" since Piss-ant was throwing so many photos up there. Hope this is what you needed.

Mainly tired......I have had to re-motivate myself and start working again on the fiberglass. I had hoped to have the body back on by this time but life and racing kinda got in the way. Working on the engine bay at the moment (my car had a fire with the PO some 20 years ago). So lots of repairs, the more I fix, the more I find. But trying to do it right. Chassis, suspension, brakes, wheels with new tires all done. Engine comes back from shop this week. Final glass project will be grafting the top back on. It was cut off 30 years ago as the PO wanted to feel the "wind in his hair".
I have been using long socks, sweatpants, long sleeve undershirt, coveralls, goggles, dusk mask, rubber gloves and a plastic shower cap All done in the driveway..........the neighbors just laugh.

Mike:
The one thing missing from the long list of clothing is a Tyvek suit. Lifesavers, and they come with a hood. Put it on, along with the goggles, then go ring your neighbor's doorbell. They'll get a good jump from the HazMat guy at the door.
That's quite the project you've got. Makes me feel lucky. What sort of racing do you do?
Good luck with it. Have you been keeping a log on this site of your restoration? I see you're in Sacramento, and since I'm occasionally down there to visit mom, maybe we could connect. A quick search gave me some of your history with the car (bought in Mass., shipped to Sac in 2002, restoration in earnest in 2009, finished by Xmas of that year).....wait, I should stop telling you this. It'll just be depressing. I might as well sit an add up your receipts for you, right?
Cheers, and good luck. I expect I've got some grinding to do in the future myself. Right now I'm refurbishing things to get to a rolling chassis.

Mike,
You haven't specified where the itch is, or what is itching exactly!
So, before Gary asks for photos', how about:

My dear old Dad always used to say if you have an itchy eye you should scratch it with your elbow
