Ian

I also have a copy of it. I did find it useful when I recently re-built my engine although I consider it a useful supplement to the Miles Wilkins book but not a substitute. Somehow a video of the actual process is more helpful that a picture and written words.

Andy,

Out of interest...what's the running time?

(The other ebay DVD's listed give it, but not on this one, as far as I can see..)

Its just over an hour in length.

I echo what Andy said about it complementing Miles' book and a picture paints a thousand words etc.

I know this engine is 40 years old but his technique seems even older !!
His use of oil/additive instead of graphogen and even emery paper on a flat file on the face of the head !!!

I suppose just take notice of the good practices and ignore the rest

Emery paper? Flat file? Good grief! Was that under "How to Raise Compression"?

Gotta see that... Dear Santa :)

Does anyone know who is the guy that is doing the work and does he have a reputation as a quality twink builder - i presume he is from the UK?

I was tempted to buy the video to see what another persons approach was but maybe its not worth it?

cheers

As Lotus Fan said its slightly over an hour in length.

Rohan

I met the guy who produced the video and from what I rememeber he's retired professionaly qualified engineer. He has made a series of similar DVD's covering the rebuilding of various classic engines a link to his web site http://www.classiccarengines.co.uk/
