i now use bp7es plugs with webers, on my plus 2, but when it was tuned year ago, using bp6es the gap was set at 0.8mm, should i now reset gap to 0.65 as manual says ?, they do get sooty !, the car starts and runs good.

.8 seems a bit big .
.65 is normal.
why did u revert back to cooler plugs?
current wisdom (& my experience for what its worth) I believe would point to BP6ES with 25 thou gap ( just under .65mm). I found in winter the cooler plugs 7ES fouled more easily and could make starting more difficult
