Hi everyone,
I am in the process of rebuilding my engine at the moment and would like any comments/experience with regards to piston ring manufacturers. At the moment I am looking at rings made by Deeves which I believe are made in the US.
Does anyone have any comments on the above manufacturer, good or bad. The engine rebuild is basically for road use with standard cams etc..
Thanks
David

FWIW: I've used Deves' rings in a LOT of rebuilds; Lotus T/C's, MGB's, Jags, Ferrari V-12's et al. Never had a problem with 'em 'till I tried 'em in a 930 Turbo. The alloy liners didn't allow them to bed in, so went with OEM (I ate the second R&R, chocked it up to stupidity on my part--tried to save the client some money). No good deed goes unpunished.
