Compression

PostPost by: hat » Sun Jun 07, 2009 11:12 am

I am sure this has been covered before but I would appreciate some comments on my compression.

The engine is running lumpy like it is not quite on all four but not three if you see what I mean. Plugs ,caps, leads etc all fine. The compression, throttle open , is all reasonable and close to each other. The compression throttle closed I have one cylinder double the others.
Thoughts on what this might indicate would be appreciated. Its a big valve if that makes any difference. Thanks

I don't know, but I like your signature. Is the blank 'finish it and drive it every day'?

I tell the wife it is a beautiful object sitting in the garden, like garden art :D

Looks like you have one throttle plate slightly more open than the others?

Hi, If its No1 cyl. thats higher than the others with the throttle closed its due to No 1 pulling air from the vac. tank and the servo.
therefore no problem. Sorry if thats a bummer. Sorry if this is badly spelt rubbish etc. but I am typing in the (almost) dark in the South of France, brillient weather very warm. And on a freebe wi-fi site.
Regards John.
