Electronic Ignition

Hi,
has anyone tried this Microdynamics Electronic Ignition Module/Distributer?
I wonder; will the Tacho on my early Elan +2 still fucnction?

Kevin it will not work with the standard elan tacho the diagram states RVC & Elan is RVI. former is voltage level driven elan is current driven which is why they do not like electronic ignition as there is less current in the trigger cct. than with points but you can get the tacho converted
