How do you work out the CC of your engine

My engine has a Bore of 3.265" and a stroke of 3.070"
How do I work out the CC of my engine?
The engine has a Formula Ford Crank and custom pistons to match.
Nice to know the cc

The capacity is the swept volume and this is equal to the stroke multiplied by the area of the cylinder. i.e stroke * cylinder radius squared * 3.142 (pi)
For your car, this is 3.070 * (3.265/2)^2*3,142. This is in sq ins, multiply by 2.54^3 to get ccs. Of course this is per cylinder, multiply by 4 for a four cyl engine.

My calculations give 1685 ccs for you engine.

I have a spreadsheet, being developed for a different purpose, but it allows you to input bore, stroke, and # cylinders in either metric or English units and gives the capacity in both units.

PM me and I will send you a copy. Sure beats having to remember formulas and do arithmetic.

Did I miss something....what is the CC of the cylinder head, should that be added to the calculation of total displacement?

You are mixing up the compression ratio with the cubic capacity, the cc of the combustion chamber will not effect the cubic capacity(displacement) of the engine.
Compression Ratio = CV + SV divided by CV
Where:
(CV ...clearance volume = volume of space above piston at TDC)
(SV....swept volume = cubic capacity of one cylinder)
