Cam Cover Paint ,,,,,,,,,,,again!

PostPost by: kenny » Tue Jan 23, 2007 1:15 pm

Just searched the archives and the concensus seems to be Hycote/Sperex "wrinkle finish" in red. Just spoke to a Sperex dealer and he said the red has not been produced for 10 years :? He also added that although he can supply it in black these paints are not designed for temps above 70c and said engine bay use is a no no.

I'm stuck now, cam cover has been beautifully vapour blasted and I'm struggling to find a nice authentic red finish for it...............or do I just take it to be powder coated?

Cheers,

Kenny
