S_2 Radiator Attachment

Good Evening.
This weekend I cranked over my Elan for the first time ever. No leaks and good Oil Pressure. So far so Good! Next steps are to add spark and then gas.
I also set my rad into the engine bay. Besides the two bolts at the bottom, what is supporting the rad? (I have an S2 with the centre rad cap) My rad has no brackets in the proximity of the top corners or along the sides that suggest attaching it to the bonnet supports like the S3.
Anyone have some pics?
thx
Darren

Darren, if you have the early "fat" rad from Marston (?), it it supported only by the two bolts underneath and the hoses! The top hose acts as the upper support.

Dag has it right. When I had to remove the rad from my S2 (presumably after 40 years in situ) the nuts were rusted on and I ended up breaking both bolts off! I brased 2 shiny new bolts to the bottom of the rad in order to re-assemble. This raised the rad by about 5mm, but it doesn't seem to be significant.

my s2 is held by the bolts on the bottom and the metal pipe with rad hoses attached at each end on top-- the upper of the rad is supported so ----ed

On my body - the fiberglass comes from the nose and goes over top of the steering rack. My radiator was on top of the rack, which made attaching the nuts onto the two radiator bolts pretty difficult. Should the radiator be there or should it be in front of the rack toward the nose? Seems like it would be too far away from the 2-bladed fan.??!!
