Hi
I'm sure this has proabably been covered before but just for my own peace of mind.
Do Twin Cam engines have the hardened valve seats that will run on unleaded petrol ?? ( Mine is a 1973 Big Valve unit engine number P31055)
I'm being given conflicting information from some of my friends 'In The Know' some say Aye others Nay !
On previous classics I have had I have used Millers VSP to great effect and had no problems with valve seat regression even after in execess of 20 K miles !! I have also used Castrol Valvemaster and found it to be offer good car performance over many miles but as yet not stripped for re-examination.
So what's the general feeling in the Lotus fraterinty ??
Cheers

Strewth, what a waste.
Why not try Bud Lite instead. or the original "high octane" Budweiser.
Hear tell our american friends have been used to weak beer and petrol for decades, so thought they'd take better care of our Guiness. (vbg)!
Then again, if it's to take care of an elan .........
Regards,
Stuart.
