We had a thread running about this recently. It was suggested that they could be from the Rover 2000 mounted upside down, they are similar, but I think you will find that they were in fact Lotus only.

sorry for being a bit thick....but......what is the parking light????? or is this a federal addition only????
thanks
Gareth
ps I only ask as the lights to the front are MG for the head light and some bus (that I cant remember the name of) for the side light indicator....as for the rear they are lotus only but derived from the rear lights of the S2 or S3 e-typre jaguar

As a supplementary, does anyone know where to get replacement surrounds for these lights?

Whoever restored my car thought that it was a good idea to paint them body colour rather than re-chrome...

I read a article in a mag that suggested they are also fitted to Duple coaches . I can not confirm that though .

I have heard the Duple coach source before as well. I am fairly sure they were not used on any other UK car.

Hello Garenth, the "parking light" is the "corner marker." The slender ones above the bumper out on the front wings/fenders. The federal "lights" were side markers, front and rear, first just reflectors, later used as side repeater lights. I think the parking light is also the turn signal?

The parking lights were unique Lotus and the tooling was scraped a week or so before the "rescue" team moved in!!
A pity
